The media has a significant role to play in the fight to end homelessness. By advancing accurate information about the real causes of homelessness, it’s easier to work towards effective solutions.
Media case studies
Are you looking for people with lived experience of homelessness for a media story?
As a peak body, Council to Homeless Persons does not deliver homelessness support directly to clients. However, our Peer Education Support Program (PESP) team are available for interviews on a range of issues related to their experiences of being without a home.
If you are interested in arranging a media interview with a PESP team member or graduate, contact our Media Advisor.
Collaborating on media stories
Council to Homeless Persons frequently collaborates with member organisations to deliver support for media stories.
If you are from one of our member organisations and you would like to discuss a potential story or media enquiry, contact our Media Advisor.
Media Guide: Reporting on homelessness

Council to Homeless Persons has created a free, quick-reference media guide containing background facts and statistics, plus important ethical considerations in relation to reporting on homelessness.
